yeahhhhh. David Perry is pretty much the ultimate has-been. Sure, Earthworm Jim was all good and well, and MDK was a blast.

But every subsiquent EWJ, MDK2, Enter The Matrix?

Now the guys making a game based on forum suggestions, and by "making" I mean "expects you to make."

Of course I have nothing against you guys actually doing the "work," but I think Acclaim deserves an award for "best PR stunt" ever.

Going from Iggys Recking Balls and BMX XXX to the illusion of "innovative future of gaming- taking ideas from a forum is the best thing ever"

Yeah, I have nothing nice to say. It's a stupid concept. The've alienated 90% of the world by choosing a stupid genre for PC, probably because half of the members on the forum are under 16. On top of that all this is going to end up as is a shitty in-browser mario kart where you pay for customization with acclaim-dollars(tm)

nope. nothin nice to say.

ah, a good opener for some critisisms i have

Yeah, i dig it's beta, butttttt nigh unplayable.

1) Map is fine, pistol is fine, but please please please put some ammo somewhere besides drops.

2)Needs a leaderboard, how else would you know you're winning?
2.1) Need names, to put on a leaderboard, when i hit quit it showed we had names in the console, but without actually displaying / allowing customization, why bother

3. much higher default mouse sensitivity

other than that, a solid product

Aaron Clifford said,
I'm with you, that's why I gave this method a try. But I'm also not a big fan of ad supported stuff. What I would love to see is something like GameTap where anyone could contribute and anyone who wanted to play paid a flat fee to access the service. Then say 60%-70% of the profits were just divided up among the game creators based on the number of plays in a month.

i can get behind that, so long as there was quality control :)

Halo 3? more like constructing obviously named robots to take over the world

stupid instant action or whatever!
Post: #6632 in Talent wanted 1190644333
retail browser based moo? you going to sell them a web browser :-P

My real question, though, is why? What do you have to offer in this one that hasn't been done hundreds of times in similar games? If you were doing this for just a portfolio piece or something, best of luck to you, but you seem to be set on actually competing with established sites with thousands of users on at all hours of the day, you need more than just luck to do that with a startup, you need a miracle.

Sorry if that brings you down or anything, but it's just the way i see it :-/

largely because it's not like you're posting a resume, and X highschooler with GameMaker could set up an operation to scam people out of cash

i dunno, it's nothing i would ever, ever do

i think its awfully rude to think whatever product you put on that site is remotely worth the amount you're asking for

its a quite modern machine, dualcore 1.6, gig of ram, and a video card that can run most current games well, and vista

it's really just the main menu that's slow to load, the games maps load fine
Post: #6572 in Is the GGE slowly working again? 1190079055
dunno, all different for me

but i guess that's what "beta" means
  Post: #6570 in ToW Beta Version 2 - Have a look! 1190076885
needs graphics options, hard, looks like ass on a widescreen otherwise

also.. why does it take so long to load the main menu?
Not sure how many of you have heard of this game, it's entirely fan made, the graphics blow, the gameplay isn't much better

but it's entirely fan made, and being published by Jowood.

Whatcha think of that?
  Thread: Opera 9.22 error 1185372770
http://astech-online.net/imthedarkcyde/ERROR.png

(uh, i've tried every way i can to try to get it to post the image, but it refuses, so just go there i guess.]

it was like that when i got here today, not sure why. Yesterday opera 9.22 was released, but i don't think they touched the standards support at all- so it may affect earlier versions as well.

The problem persisted after a cache refresh.

the site works fine in IE7
